Program Manager
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Program Manager supporting the Underway Replenishment Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division.
Job Description:
  • Plan, schedule, direct, and approve all work assigned to the program and assure that quality products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Interact with government customers to ensure the long-term success of the Task Order.
  • Develop, mentor, train and evaluate staff to maximize their career potential.
  • Identify and develop marketing and business plans for targeted opportunities that fall within the capabilities of the Company.
  • Market and capture work to ensure the Company's Core Business Objectives and competitiveness in the marketplace is maintained.
  • Keep abreast of evolving technology and procedures, which may enhance the opportunities for future projects.
  • Work with the Business Development/Strategic Planning team to identify and pursue new customers, programs, and business opportunities.
  • Promote existing customer relations through frequent communication.
  • Consult with customers to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and actions.
  • Project a positive image to employees, customers, and similar industrial companies by ensuring a cost-efficient, quality product is produced in accordance with the customers' requirements.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through positive actions to affect morale, providing adequate opportunities for employee personal growth, and ensuring the program meets Company regulations and policies.
  • Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Direct and coordinate personnel management activities including performance management, recruiting, hiring, promotions, and terminations.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable Engineering, Scientific, Business or Technical discipline and at least 6 years of experience or a high school diploma and at least 10 years professional technical activities related to the management of a DOD contract/task order.
  • Must have at least 6 years of management experience with a DoD contracts ensuring quality of products and services, schedules, cost control, business relations, and management of personnel that includes engineering, software development and waterfront support experience.
  • Must have demonstrated quality leadership and responsibility of leadership and responsibility, managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams related to engineering services in support of the Navy fleet.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Masters in Business Administration.
  • At least 10 years with DoD contracts ensuring quality of products and services, schedules, cost control, business relations, and management of personnel that includes engineering, software development and waterfront support experience.
Security Requirements:
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional Travel-Less than 10% travel
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Moderate work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000 per year
