The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks exceptional faculty members to join a dedicated group of medical educators in the Division of Hospital Medicine. The position is open rank on the clinician educator track. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

Applicants will be required to obtain New Mexico licensure and be eligible for DEA licensure and NM State Board of Pharmacy narcotics license. This position may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine by date of hire.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Attended a US Medical school as a third and fourth year medical student OR served at least two years in a residency that provides education to US medical students during their core clerkship in internal medicine OR served on the faculty of a medical school.
• Experience/ interest in hospital medicine
• Experience/interest in medical education and quality improvement activities;
• Preference will be given to current and former New Mexico Residents;
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
