The School of Public Administration at the University of New Mexico invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in August 2024. This is a full-time, tenured/tenure-track position with specialization in health administration. Applicants must have a doctoral degree ((including PhD, DrPH, DHA and equivalent terminal degrees) in Health Administration, Health Services Research, Health Policy, Health Systems Management, Health Informatics, or another relevant field by the date of appointment of August 1, 2024. Applications must demonstrate evidence of educational excellence and leadership potential for senior associate professor applicants. The new faculty member will teach courses for students in the Master of Health Administration and the Master of Public Administration, supervise master's students, and contribute to core, required graduate courses. Teaching areas of interest include healthcare quality, strategic management, operations management, healthcare management, leadership, and/or healthcare marketing. There will also be the opportunity to teach at the undergraduate level.
The MHA program, the newest program in the School of Public Administration, is an associate member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). The MPA program in the School, is one of the oldest NASPAA-accredited programs in the nation.
