CRP Department anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 Semesters in the Community and Regional Planning Department to teach and/or develop upper and lower division courses.
Anticipated openings potentially include the following subjects:
Urban planning, urban design, community planning, regional planning, environmental planning, water resources, the built environment, Indigenous planning, policy studies, economic development, and community development.
TPT Adjunct Faculty will teach and grade courses in the CRP Department
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the CRP Department Chair.
June 10, 2023 for Fall Semester 2023
October 10, 2023 for Spring 2024 Semester
October 10, 2023 for Summer Semester 2024
Minimum Qualifications to teach or develop courses in the field or subfield for which you are applying are determined by Higher Learning Commission's accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be met by one of these ways:
1. Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning or related Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous teaching experience or related professional experience.
2. A PhD in planning or a related field.
3. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
