The University of New Mexico's School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is seeking a Research Scientist 3 to join the research laboratory of Dr. Olga Ponomarova (https://hsc.unm.edu/directory/ponomarova-olga.html). Our team studies connections between central metabolic network function and organismal physiology. The Research Scientist 3 will conduct research on interactions between metabolic pathways using model organism C. elegans and its bacterial diet; including operating GC-MS spectrometer, collecting and analyzing metabolomics data.
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
