Job Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for leading efforts to increase the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes. A successful Manufacturing Engineer Lead will use cross-functional leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills to improve profitability on existing products as well as timely introductions of new products at our manufacturing facility. This position will have (3) direct reports.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering change request
  • Oversee quality document preparation and quality processes
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, cost and delivery goals.
  • Lead creation and implementation of efficiency improvements in the facility and line layouts.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness for product launch and transfer to production
  • Lead development of standard works
  • Lead strategic improvement projects to support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
  • Lead and develop time studies and productivity metrics
  • Collect and analyze metrics that provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with development and implementation of capital investment project responsibility
  • Train, mentor, and lead team members to propose, justify and execute projects to reduce product/operational cost using Lean methodologies.
  • Manage teams to complete projects within deadline and on budget
  • Develop and train direct reports
  • Exhibiting and sustaining an attitude of positivity towards change
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum to years' Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required
