CompleteRx has an opening for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to help provide exceptional patient care at a retail pharmacy called Champion Pharmacy, located inside Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, NM. We are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the communities we serve.

Pharmacy Operating Hours:

  • Monday - Friday / 8am - 6pm
  • Saturday and Sunday / 10am - 4pm

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center has served the communities for over 67 years providing excellence in healthcare services. GCRMC is an acute care medical center with additional licenses for 12 inpatient rehab beds and 38 psychiatric beds. The medical center is a non-profit accredited by DNV.

What You Will Do

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintenance of records to ensure effective patient care.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by the physician according to established policies, procedures, and protocols and within the specified time frame.
  • Intake of written and electronic prescriptions.
  • Carefully and accurately measure/count and dispense medications as prescribed.
  • Verify patient insurance; process claims accordingly.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies, procedures, and protocols and within the specified time frame.
  • Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.
  • Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.
  • Maintains competencies required for current position.
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the department.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
  • Possess current Certified Pharmacy Technician license in the State of New Mexico.
  • Possess current National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
