Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Ludmila Bakhireva, and the Research Scientist 3, the incumbent will be involved in recruitment of research participants for the clinical studies conducted by the College of Pharmacy Substance Use Research and Education Center at UNM. Ongoing clinical studies focus primarily on pregnant women and children and require the incumbent to be comfortable working with vulnerable populations. The incumbent will work closely with prenatal care clinics to recruit patients for clinical studies and administer structured interviews for Spanish- and English-speaking pregnant patients enrolled in the study. This position will require travel to off-site clinics in the greater Albuquerque area. Occasional travel to off-site clinics outside of the greater Albuquerque area may be required. The incumbent will also coordinate study-related procedures, including data entry and collection/processing of biological specimens. He/she/they will work closely with co-investigators, laboratory personnel, and hospital personnel. This position will require rotated weekend and evening coverage of research activities within a 40-hour work week. Must possess a current valid Driver's License and their own vehicle or the ability to drive a University vehicle, as the position requires travel to off-site clinics in the greater Albuquerque area and surrounding communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of directly related student practicum or equivalent experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
