Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a System Administrator III to support the Emergency Operations Center at a major national laboratory.

This position requires 100% onsite work, therefore candidate must reside in the Albuquerque area by start date.

Responsibilities
    Installing new infrastructure
  • Assist customers with their file system needs (creating folder structure, backing up data, etc.)
  • Work on switches
  • Troubleshoot performance issues
  • Examine logs
  • Make harware recommendations
  • Work with servers, but desktop support for the customer will also be part of daily duties.
  • Works primarily with unclassified and classified data, networking, and software diagnostics.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA or related field, with 2 years of related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per Contract
  • Windows Desktop and Server System Administration.

    • Computer and Networking Troubleshooting
  • Previous experience in the service or installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual, presentation systems
  • Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networks
  • Familiarity with network protocols and network management technologies
  • Skill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to be on-call

Desired:

  • InfoComm CTS certification preferred but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certifications or training is a plus. Examples: Crestron, BIAMP, Extron, QSC, Microsoft TEAMs, Shure, etc.
