The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SSAG has a need for a Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

The Engineer will provide support on a large, integrated system and will be supporting the development of technical requirements while also supporting a cross-functional team in all facets of the requirements engineering process. Additionally, this engineer will help architect requirements processes on key large programs and support a requirements process improvement team with responsibility for: meeting yearly process improvement milestones, participate in the management of relevant process training, maintaining process documentation, supporting management & administration of the requirements management tools, identifying/tracking/taking action on requirements metrics, and overall process excellence across the department.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    Current DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
  • Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product team (IPT) environment.
  • Experience in DOORS or Jama required, experience in Jama strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading the execution of a requirements engineering process on an integrated system program.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Skills in Jama REST, advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint & VBA, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, MagicDraw & Cameo Modeler are highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting a hardware development programs from proposal through verification for space flight hardware or equivalent is also desirable.
  • Experience on a hardware development program: proposal/development/manufacture/verification.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively.
