The Department of Accounting at the Anderson School of Management is seeking to fill one tenure/tenure-track position at an open rank to begin August 2024.

The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few programs in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA, MBA, and MACCT degrees as well as an Executive MBA for working professionals and an MBA in Education Leadership. With over 21,000 alumni, Anderson alums can be found to have an impact in their communities all over the world. The Department of Accounting faculty supports existing BBA and MACCT programs including tracks in taxation, and auditing. The Department has needs in both areas. Therefore, this position will support course offerings in either the area of tax, or audit/fraud/forensic depending upon the specialty area of the successful candidate. Typical teaching load for a tenure-track faculty member is two classes per semester.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate or have strong prospect for completing a doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field by August 2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of or promise of a significant program of research and scholarship.
  • Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching tax or auditing core and elective courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
