What You Will Do:

  • Performs moderately complex customer support activities, including installations, routine repairs and maintenance of chemical injection pumps and accessories.
  • Assembles different parts of manufactured products using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Inspects all materials, components, subassemblies, etc. to assure they meet the accepted quality standards.
  • Reads and follows work instructions, work orders, production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Processes and submits customer service transactions such as service tickets accurately.
  • Provides accurate and timely information regarding availability of in-stock items.
  • Answers basic inquiries from customers providing basic technical product and applications support.
  • Refers customers to local sales representative for further sales & service requests
  • Drives a company vehicle and makes deliveries to customer locations
  • Obtains signatures for deliveries made, as required.
  • Works alone and/or under general supervision
  • Develops good working relationships with customers through frequent and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Communicates professionally & effectively with customers when delivering both good and bad information.
  • Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Works unconventional hours and potentially weekends to provide our required level of service on occasion.
  • Attends work in predictable and regular manner

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside in Hobbs, TX or surrounding areas
  • Work week and shift: Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4:30PM
  • Schedule: The regular work schedule will likely include daily overtime and occasional weekend work, as required
  • New hire training provided
  • Must have valid US driver license
  • Must have acceptable driving record (MVR)
  • Must have a valid DOT Physical card or be able to meet the physical requirements to obtain a valid card

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Vocational/Technical training or certification, or equivalent experience - OR -
  • 2 years of assembly, installations, repair of chemical injection pumps or similar products and 2 years of experience performing moderately complex installations independently and 2 years of experience in strong customer service relations, including the ability to explain and train
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety, proper hand and power tool use, and other motorized material movement equipment
  • Motor vehicle records must meet the standards for the company vehicle driving policy
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must meet DOT physical requirements and training
  • Able to lift at least 40lbs
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Excel
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • High accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and various levels of management.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a high level of persistency in meeting delivery schedules.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to travel daily away from the shop up to 90% of the time
  • Speak, read and write English fluently
  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements
  • Predictably and regularly attend work and be punctual

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • Minimal crawling, climbing stairs, balancing, using a keyboard, and dialing less than 10%.
  • Occasional bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, lifting up to 40lbs, reaching, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling, standing, writing, and speaking between 11% - 33%.
  • Frequent handling (grasping, holding, turning, working with hands), fingering (picking, pinching, fine manipulation), sitting, walking, and driving between 33% - 66%.
  • Constant seeing and hearing greater than 66%.
  • Per some customer requirements for locations, may be required to obtain certain vaccinations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical training or certification
  • 5+ years of experience in oil and gas field installation of chemical injection pumps or similar products
  • 5+ years performing moderately complex installations independently
  • 5 years of experience in strong customer service relations; including the ability to explain and train
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
