The Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks a Strategic Support Manager (1.0 FTE). This position will work with the ADOBE (Averting Disparities in Outcomes by Building Engagement) Program. The ADOBE Program was established in 2017 and is the University of New Mexico's program to identify and construct resilience among individuals and communities confronting justice and health disparities at the crossroads of medicine and law.
This position oversees the growth of ADOBE Program while maintaining fidelity to patient population and goal of strength and resiliency-based models through team building, hiring, and oversight of training for appropriate personnel. In addition, oversee the billing and collection of Medicaid payments.
Serves as a principal point of collaboration, leadership, and expertise to internal and external constituencies on professional and operational matters pertaining to the mission, goals, objectives, and work scope of ADOBE, including but not limited to: multiple UNM HSC departments, NM HSD, CYFD, APS, and other grant funders.
This position requires both insight into existing ADOBE, community, and current health system service provision models, as well as innovative approaches to solving current health service provision gaps.
This position requires comfort with presenting to a diverse audience, from community partners to the legislature. Ability to interface seamlessly with officials in the Juvenile and Young Adult Court systems, the District Attorney's Office, Human Services Department of New Mexico, officials in Bernalillo County Behavioral Health, Albuquerque Public School system, the New Mexico Department of Health, UNM Hospital, UNM Medical Group is a must.
Duties include:
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
* Master's Degree or at least ten years post-baccalaureate relevant work experience.
* Familiarity with community and research partners, oversight of budget and complex financial planning, in-depth experience with team building and hiring, and ease of communication with high-ranking officials in the state.
* Experience monitoring budgets.
* Ability to train, supervise, and oversee the activities of students and staff.
* Ability to prioritize, manage, and pursue multiple projects simultaneously.
