Summary:
The School of Public Administration is looking to fill an Admin Assistant II position. This person will be the nexus for administrative activities within the School, providing a comprehensive range of services and support. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage diverse administrative tasks. Act as the first point of liaison for internal and external constituencies and ensure the smooth operation of the School's daily functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Acts as the primary contact for the School, handling phone inquiries, directing foot traffic, and serving as a liaison to address a variety of day-to-day matters.
* Assists staff in tasks such as procurement of office supplies, and managing vendor contracts, including catering, advertisement, and other requisition.
* Organizes and supports workshops, seminars, meetings, and special projects; evaluates event success and assists with inventory management.
* Manages the School's social media presence, website updates, and maintenance, ensuring a robust online engagement.
* Assists with travel arrangements and provides general administrative support to faculty and staff.
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
* Knowledge of Banner (Finance, HR Payroll and Chrome River)
* Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Cascade (Website Development/Updates)
* Strong organizational skills and multitasking
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a talent for problem-solving and critical thinking.
* Proficiency in office software, social media platforms, and the ability to learn new technologies are quired.
* Experience in handling confidential information with discretion and in accordance with privacy regulations.
