The McQuate Lab Manager will be expected to:
> Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of standard laboratory equipment of moderate complexity, such as microscopes, autoclaves, incubators, and centrifuges.
> Monitor, stock, and procure research equipment and supply inventories as appropriate.
>Monitor health of research animals (zebrafish)
>Practices safety, environmental and/or infection control methods.
>Teaches, instructs, and/or updates others in laboratory techniques and equipment usage.
>Collects and prepares research samples using experimental design and technique

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Knowledge of laboratory materials or media
Bachelor's degree, experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified
Preferred, not required:
Master's degree in Biology or related field
Experience in ordering, budgeting
Experience in experimental design/technique
Experience working as a lab manager
