Job Objective
Regional Defense Fellowship Program (RDFP) Manager will support the planning, management, and sustainment of RDFP program designed to support Security Assistance / Security Cooperation (SA/SC) efforts for the CENTCOM HQ staff, Components, and all Security Cooperation Offices (SCOs) within the USCENTCOM AOR. This program promotes relationships, training, and interaction with developing or partner nations. Support includes the planning, preparation, execution, and management of budget activities and systems to enable the forecasting and execution of these programs.
Responsibilities
  • Develop / utilize information technology systems / tools to forecast, manage and execute activities with Security Cooperation Offices (SCO), CC Directorates, CC Components, and DSCA.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills to perform detailed management and administrative functions within Security Assistance Network (SAN), Security Cooperation-Training Management System (SC-TMS), and Security Cooperation Workforce Development Database (SCWD-D).
  • Provide technical support to SCOs and DAOs, desk officers, and USCENTCOM staff during development, implementation, and completion of current/future year RDFP events and activities.
  • Develop, coordinate, execute and/or assist USCENTCOM, DSCA, SO/LIC, and SCOs in the planning, budgeting, and execution of the RDFP.
  • Make recommendations and process student vetting nominations for government approval.
  • Maintain the Security Cooperation Workforce Development Database (SCWD-D) to track and report all professional development training.
  • Assist the HQ Staff in registering for/attending the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) courses and function as the overall HQ focal point to coordinate information sharing, briefings, guest speaker roles, or site visits from / to DSCU facilities/courses.
