Summary
The Financial Aid Office is seeking to fill a work study position for the Summer 2024 semester. This individual must be able to work well under pressure, adhere to FERPA and confidentiality requirements and follow federal/state regulations. Fin Aid Office Assistant will greet all individuals applying or seeking to apply for FAFSA, scholarships and other financial aid processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
* Ability to provide excellent customer service
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
* Ability to learn Banner and Onbase
* Ability to analyze and solve problems
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Ability to interact and communicate with people in person or over phone, often in stressful situations
* Knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel for entering data
* Availability to work up to 6pm as our hours of operation are M-F 8am-6pm
* Work experience is highly preferred
* Must be work-study eligible
* Must be enrolled at least half time
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
* Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects, standing and/or walking for extended periods of times during rush and busy hours of the semester.
* No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
