University College (UC) is seeking an advisor who enjoys daily student interaction. As a member of this highly trained advising team, the Senior Academic Advisor will employ integrated academic advisement guided by student development and advising theories to prospective, current, and former students of University College. This position is responsible for providing Undecided and Pre-Health Science students with academic advisement via individual appointments, workshops, emails, and zoom. In addition, coordinating outreach, orientation activities, and delivering public presentations.
UC is an integral part of the University's retention strategy and graduation goal. This involves working with students facing academic challenges. Help students build efficient degree plans and working with students who are exploring degree options or seeking a degree in the health sciences. This is a great opportunity for someone who appreciates working with a diverse student population. In addition, the Sr. Academic Advisor will work collaboratively with their colleagues to facilitate academic success and inform students of other degree plans within University College.
After completion of probation period, employee and supervisor will discuss remote work opportunities.
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
