Description

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required qualifications:

• Candidates must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
• Coursework/Training: JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices:
• Maintains radiation safety training annually.
• Maintains conscious sedation education annually.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (for areas listed):
• Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Pediatric Emergency Department.
• Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.
• Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years Professional nursing experience.
• 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Master's Degree in Nursing (for areas listed):
• Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Pediatric Emergency Department.
• Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.
• ACLS and/or PALS upon hire.
• Specialty certification related to practice upon hire.
• National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices) upon hire.
• Supervisory/leadership experience.
