What you'll be doing...

As a Paid Social Strategist within Verizon's in-house digital media center of excellence, you will be responsible for paid social media strategy, execution and optimization across all inventory types to achieve brand and business objectives. You will oversee media planning (including audience targeting, ad formats and bid management) on social platforms across select units within Verizon Consumer Group. With your knowledge of the tech landscape and the evolution of social behaviors, you will keep internal leadership, media and ad teams educated on emerging technologies. Additionally, you will support your media technology colleagues on inputs to social platforms' roadmaps to drive differentiation in a highly competitive landscape.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing bold, innovative strategies and campaigns in conjunction with Verizon's marketing team.

  • Partnering on driving product roadmaps and expanding capabilities into the broader marketplace.

  • Partnering closely with other media leaders (Brand, Business, Search, Programmatic, and Analytics) to support the activations.

  • Supporting efforts across partner units within Verizon (Operations, Experience, Technology, and CRM) to create improved digital experiences across all touchpoints.

  • Keeping internal teams educated on the evolution of paid social technology, what's leading in the marketplace and what tech can be utilized.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in paid social media strategy & investment.

  • Experience "Hands-on-keyboard" in primary buying platforms & formats (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with management of social budgets of at least ten million dollars.

  • Social media buying experience within agency teams, Management Consultancies or brands with in-house digital media capabilities.

  • Fluency in data-driven targeting and reach strategy.

  • Ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders, and influence across divisions, departments, and teams.

  • Experience leading data-driven media technology (Liveramp, Adobe AAM, Epsilon, Acxiom).

  • Knowledge of advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display (desktop, mobile), Digital Video, Social Media, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.

  • Experience with ad verification and brand safety tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat).

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $89,000.00 and $166,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
