* Performs various cleaning activities to maintain department sanitation standards. These may include:
* Scraping, washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and storing all pots, pans, sheet pans, utensils and small equipment,
* Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing department floors,
* Cleaning Ice machines
* Sets up and maintains assigned work area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner to facilitate efficiency and ensure food safety.
* Provides additional services to enhance customer service.
* Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.
* Delivers food carts to certain patient units which require nursing staff to deliver trays.
* Gathers trash for the entire department and removing it to the trash compactor.
* Removing and setting up cafeteria, and Doctor's Dining Room tables and chairs for carpet cleaning and for special catered events.
