As a Staff Accountant, you will perform key functions within the accounting department and will have broad exposure to various accounting functions. You will prepare and record journal entries, prepare month-end reconciliations and analysis, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of experienced accounting professionals and for professional growth and advancement!

THE ROLE:

• Performs a wide variety of general accounting functions including journal entries, month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Participates in monthly financial reviews - identifying variances, implementing corrective actions.
• Meets accounting operational standards by implementing productivity, resolving problems, and identifying process improvements.
• Maintain SOX requirements and supply reports to internal and external audit teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field is preferred
• 1-2 years relevant accounting experience required
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required
• Intermediate Excel experience required
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and succinctly
• Key characteristics: continuous improvement, excellent time management, detail oriented
