PAY: $134,000 - $159,000

JOB SUMMARY: MCSG Technologies is seeking a Wargame Planner to serve as the Lead Assessor for the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Delta 10 Operating Location-Bravo (OL-B) Wargaming Team. Delta 10/OL-B Wargaming includes the USSF Title 10 Schriever Wargame series, a variety of wargaming types (e.g., doctrinal, educational, coalition), and wargame training. The Lead Assessor will lead the STARCOM Wargaming assessment and knowledge management activities and support the planning and execution of OL-B Wargaming activities, other supported wargames, exercises, and events. Location: Schreiver SFB, CO

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead OL-B's Wargaming Assessment program, which will gather, analyze, manage, report, and track observations and insights about OL-B Wargaming activities.
  • Develop and implement data collection methods for OL-B Wargaming activities (e.g., observer assessments, surveys, data analysis).
  • Establish liaisons with key internal and external stakeholders to accommodate data and information collection; leverage best practices, procedures, and techniques; and integrate inputs to support the execution of exercises.
  • Select, train, and lead the Assessment Team during OL-B Wargaming capstone events.
  • Analyze data and information collected from OL-B Wargaming activities to recommend changes and improvements in the wargame design, planning, execution, and assessment functions.
  • Create, coordinate, and present detailed findings, observations, recommendations, and reports (e.g., Quick Look Reports, After Action Reports (AARs), Lessons Learned) from OL-B Wargaming activities to various levels of stakeholders on wargame outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Assist with designing, planning, and executing OL-B wargame activities and supported events (e.g., HAF Global Engagement and Futures wargames, NRO's Thor's Hammer wargame).
  • Attend and/or support meetings, workshops, etc. related to OL-B Wargaming activities.
  • Report on activities through trip reports, briefings, meeting minutes, point papers, quad charts, etc.
  • Carry out other tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure OL-B mission success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information and data for large projects and writing final reports based on the information collected and analyzed.
  • Experience with space operations, space law and policy, or commercial and civil space efforts.
  • This position requires moderate travel (10-12 weeks/year).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in planning, developing, coordinating, and executing terrestrial, cyber, or space capabilities in DoD, NRO, National Agencies, or Service wargames or exercises, demonstrations, and/or experiments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access for database development and administrative actions.
  • Experience using knowledge management best practices.
  • Previous participation in a Schriever Wargame event or other Title 10 wargame.
  • Fluent in one or more of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, and/or Norwegian.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 10 or more years of experience working for DoD organizations.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI clearance.
