Leidos is seeking a Sr. Operations Directorto support the Airborne Systems Business Area. This position is located onsite in Manassas, VA.

This individual will report to Leidos' Senior Vice President and Business Area Manager for Airborne Solutions in the Defense Sector to carry out operations-wide operational and strategic initiatives. Specifically, this role is responsible for leading projects and individuals reporting to business and functional leaders within the operations. This person will assist the Division Managers and Program Managers on execution to ensure the teams meet schedule, cost, technical, and funding availability requirements. Applies judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical and/or management functions. Primary contact for assigned cross organizational or operations projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist Program Managers and Division Managers on Earned Value Management requirements and tracking during Proposal and Execution phases.

• Assist in Estimate to Complete reviews prior to internal Group Reviews, corporate reviews, and Government briefings.

• Assist in all over and above/Engineering Change Proposal taskings with Business Operation Estimate development and Engineering Change Proposal execution.

• Executing within scope and any items over and above working with customer on pursuing Extended Contract Periods.

• Support the development of pursue no pursue, bid no bid, and Gate review presentations and approvals.

• Meet with customers/suppliers on a reoccurring frequency and being proactive to help develop or continue to develop a network for the Program Managers and division Managers under the Airborne Systems Business Area (ASBA) Operations.

• Help assist Program Managers in problem areas such as staffing, supplier management, Risk management, Fixed Price Development and Fixed Price Manufacturing Programs.

• Work with the Executive Vice President/Business Area Manager on Business strategy to help grow the business in line with Annual Operating Plan commitments.

• Help develop Process and Procedures for the Operations and Group to implement for Program Execution.

• Review / approve compensation adjustments, promotions and moves.

• Review / approve requisitions / procurements / subcontracts that require Ops level action.

• Provide input for research and development, capital investments, and facilities discussion (participate in business councils associated with these).

• Draft / iterate Ops level charts and reports for Operations and Group (including, but not limited to: Monthly Operations Reviews; Quarterly Business Reviews; weekly reports; staff meetings; Board of Directors presentations).

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent from an accredited university required, combined with 12 years of experience or equivalent industry/professional experience; 12 years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities, that includes 3-5 years of experience specifically in project management; or Master's degree and 10 years' experience; 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and compile large amounts of data and present effective reports.

• Self- motivated and self-sufficient.

• Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to produce positive collaboration across varying departments.

• Excellent verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills, including ability to establish positive and productive working relationships inside and outside the company across time zones.

• Candidate must be a resident of the Northern Virginia area or willing to relocate to the Manassas - Northern Virginia,VA area and must be available for business travel as required.

• An active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualification

• MBA preferred.
